It appears Micah really likes being photographed. 

We did an outfit change.   He was happy.
He stepped in poop.  He remained happy.

Micah has always been fun to photograph!

Have you ever seen something happen in your head before it actually happened in real life? 

Fast forward to the end of our session…
I was talking to Micah’s parents as he propped himself against an old building.  Almost in slow-mode, I saw his little fingers start to twist the pipe coming out of the ground.  Yep- you know what came next!

To me, this series represents the curious and mischievous side of all little boys this age…

Jennifer and I met in kindergarten and have been friends ever since.  When I go back to Arizona, it’s always such a treat to stay with her family.  This time was VERY special!   Keegan was born just a few days before I arrived. 

After shooting two days in a row, my favorite method of relaxation was coming home, putting on my pajamas (even when it was only 2pm) and curling up on the couch with Keegan.  Watching HGTV with a newborn baby on my belly was a vacation in itself! 

We also took a few pictures of Riley and the family. 

I love my-Riley-Roo-Roo.

Can’t wait to see you all again!

When you see Jack and Jenny, you’ll understand why I was so happy to update their photos again.
 
First off, can I show you why I love Jenny so much?   Before she gave me this shot……she gave me these shots!
There’s just something about these kids I love.  I’ve tried to put my finger on it, but I think it all goes down to their incredibly wonderful and animated facial expressions. 

Here’s a shot of Jack from our session a year ago.  This was one of my favorite of Jack because it made me really wonder what he was thinking about.  This year, Jack and I were sitting alone talking about movies when he gave me the same look I feel in love with last year…

This session was my last ‘official’ session from Arizona.  Thank you all who asked me to photograph you during my time back.  Meeting new families and photographing returning clients is one of the HIGHLIGHTS of my time in Arizona!

(For all of you who have emailed me about booking a session during my next trip to Arizona, I will keep you posted!  I plan to return again early 2010!)

When I turned the corner, I hardly recognized the little boy who was running towards me.  Our last session consisted of me laying in the floor beside him, constantly reminding myself that I should try to stop playing with his out-of-control, incredibly soft, newborn hair.  One thing that hasn’t changed since our last session… his many facial expressions!

If this little guy turns out half as wonderful mom, he’s going to be an amazing person.  One more of them together…

This might not be Story Board material, but I just love this series.  (I adore his eyes on the second image and tongue on the last one!)
