Corey & Maggie

I did it!  I finished all 14 sessions from Georgia in two weeks flat.  I had my doubts.  But, I’m very proud of myself.  (For everyone thinking, “What’s the big deal?”  Let me tell ya… it takes longer than you think to go through hundreds of images (just from one session), choose, make adjustments, upload Sneak Peeks and load into a gallery.)  I will get the 4 sessions from last weekend posted this week.  So, stay tuned!  Also, check back from a FUN wedding I shot yesterday.

Back to my reason for a new post…. My last session from Georgia was Corey and Maggie.  They, like several other families, came (way) out of their way to meet me.  (I still can’t believe people are willing to drive well over an hour for me to photograph them.)  But, they were a treat.  This session began several months ago as simply ‘together’ shots.  But, it ended up being an ENGAGEMENT shoot.  (Corey proposed a few weeks before our shoot!)  Congratulations, Corey & Maggie!

Lee, Sadie, Drew and Audrey

I’m not even going to try to act cool…  When someone you’ve never met tells you they check your blog everyday (and sometimes cry), THAT’S a great feeling!  Sadie was very excited for me to photgraph her family.  But, I had seen a few pictures of her kids and was equally as excited to photograph them!  (Can you believe Audrey’s eyes?  I think she belongs in a magazine!)  And, it goes without saying, Drew (age 5) kept me busy and laughing.  As you can see from the photos, he was a wonderful big brother to Audrey.  He made my job very easy.

Timmy, Missy & Grady

Missy warned me weeks before the shoot that Timmy and Grady were just interested in having fun.  That sounded great to me.  And, we DID have a great time!  There’s nothing I love more than chasing around a 5-year old little boy.  (I feel so lucky to be doing what I love and having so much fun while I’m doing it!)
All of their eyes are so blue- I love how they stand out in the family shot!

Miriam & Micah

Is it just me, or, is Micah not the most squeezeable, kissable, loveable little boy?  I wish Stacy, his twin (aka: dad) could have gotten off of work in time to make it.  But, there’s always next time!

Madeline & Will

Madeline and Will’s parents have done an incredible job of raising two wonderfully sweet, polite, friendly and loving kids.  Not only was it super-easy to photograph them both, it was very enjoyable as well.

Chuck, Erin and the boys

I first met Chuck and Erin in an awesome small group at our church in Georgia.   I share a love for cows with Chuck and a love for photography with Erin, who is also a photographer.  So, I was really honored when she asked me to photograph her family.  (Plus, I don’t even want to tell you how far they drove to meet me for my only opening at Watson Mill Bridge!)
By the way, don’t you just LOVE the colors they wore?  I just noticed, although there were plenty of black and white, I only posted the color images.  I think it’s because of how much I love the bright, fall colors and contrast.

Missy, Marty & Maddy

Missy probably thought I was crazy when she emailed to schedule a session and I asked, “Can we start at your house?”  I must admit, since I first saw pictures of Missy and Marty’s house, I LOVED it!  So, we started there and then went to Watson Mill Bridge State Park.  (Which was awesome!)
