I love taking photos and telling stories about our family’s new spot; but, there’s no amount of Coke Floats, free art museums or beautiful cows that can fill the hole in my heart that started when I moved from Georgia and left behind some of the people I love most.
There are days like Mother’s Day when, despite having my 3 wonderful children with me, I just can’t seem to shake the sadness of missing everyone in Georgia.
But occasionally, the goodness of your new place and the people you love and miss so much somehow come TOGETHER!
My parents had already planned on coming to Arkansas to visit us, but they were even more excited when they found out Ross wanted to get baptized that (Easter) weekend when they arrived!
I’m SO grateful for everyone who got to share that special day with us! It was a day filled with so much love, joy and thankfulness…Not only did my parents get to come, Matthew’s sister (and her 4 children) also came! We explored parks, climbed a few trees and made some great memories…
