“WANNA’ GO WITH ME?“
And before I ever ask where we’re going, how long we’re staying or who is invited, my response is always…
“YES. 100%. ABSOLUTELY!”
Over the years, I’ve become a pro at traveling alone with the kids while Matthew sees customers.
He takes off with the car (sometimes for an hour, sometimes a few days) and the kids and I set-out to EXPLORE the city!
Over the past few years, we’ve conquered children’s museums...
walked countless miles in a new cities with just a stroller and comfortable shoes…
discovered hidden ice-cream stores…
eaten hamburgers with 21 toppings…
rode free city-buses around to pass time…
taken a LOT of photos…
and probably driven a few hotel employees crazy!
But, those are some of my FAVORITE memories in life!
So within a few minutes of Matthew asking me if we wanted to ride with him to Kansas City, our bags were all packed!
As always, Matthew left bright and early the next morning, the kids and I ate breakfast at the hotel and then the free shuttle bus dropped us off downtown and we set-out to explore the city alone for the next few hours…
Kaleidoscope was a great spot to take the kids!
We created cards, puzzles and paintings to take home. Even better?!? EVERYTHING (even admission) was FREE!
Loved Kansas City! Looking forward to going back when I have more than a day to see all the beautiful fountains and eat at some of the great restaurants!
