There once was a little girl who followed ALL the rules.
When a summer rain storm came and her mom encouraged her to go outside and play in it, she searched her closet high-and-low until she found her new umbrella. Holding tightly to the only thing that was going to keep her dry, she barely make it out of the covering of the garage.
There once was a little boy.
He was SO different from his rule-following mom and sister. And even though both girls sometimes wished he was more predictable like them, deep-down, they both knew that all the things that made him different were also the things that made both of their lives so much more fun and interesting.
So the story goes…
After the little boy accidentally let out the dry, recently-bathed, house-dog into the rain, he used his negotiation skills to convince his hesitant sister to join him in the middle of the puddle… far beyond the safe driveway she was use to.
The little boy quickly realized umbrellas were very over-rated…
And the soaking, wet little boy did, once again, what he’s done a million times before…
He reminded us both how some of the best moments in life are when you leave your umbrella in the garage and just enjoy the rain!
I love this.
Not only are you an incredible photographer, but you are an artist in the way you communicate. This describes both these angels to a “t.” I wonder now where Ruthie will fall–in between these two opposites?!
