I may not always remember how old I am or how much my kids weighed at birth, but I DO remember all of my photography sessions. Each one has been special; but, naturally, there are a few which marked me in a deep way.
- Despite the fact I was in a depression so severe all the color and emotion was completely gone from my life, I specifically remember the JOY and LAUGHTER I experienced in 2012 when I was photographing 2 kids and I tripped and FELL into icy-cold water at the base of a waterfall!
- After the really hard decision to leave everything we knew in Georgia (in hopes of becoming more intentional with our time and family), I remember photographing a wonderful family during a return trip back. As I drove out of her long, Athens’ driveway with my
SISTER“assistant”, I felt so much GRATITUDE and THANKFULNESS, my heart felt like it was going to explode! - As IF I weren’t already emotional enough about “my last session” before moving to Arkansas, I will ALWAYS be grateful for the incredible family who, with strangers driving by us on the busy streets of downtown Monroe, took time to PRAY over me and the next chapter of my life. (Ask me if I shed a tear or two.)
When my church recently planned a fundraiser for ‘Saving Grace’, I was super excited to offer photography classes and donate a session. When I met Thipp and she told me she had won the session, we were both really excited to spend an evening together and capture memories of she and her daughter, Addison, together. Although we did capture great milestones, I walked away from their session feeling like God had given me a special gift I would always treasure. To me, watching Addison running, playing, twirling, laughing and swinging, felt so ENCHANTING!
