I wanted to post a quick blog during Ross and Rayna’s nap and prior to our annual Christmas meal. First of all, MERRY CHRISTMAS to whoever is nice enough to actually check my blog on Christmas day! Since I can’t post a blog without posting a picture, and all of Ross and Rayna’s photos from this morning are still in my camera downstairs, I’ll leave you with an image I took over eight years ago in Ghana, Africa. This picture kept popping in my head this morning as I thought about how blessed we all are. It’s easy to get caught-up in the toys, clothes, food and activities, but I want to always remember the smile on this little boy’s face below. Regardless of his only bath for the week being a cold and dirty one, he still seemed to be so grateful for the little he had.
Count your blessings.
Enjoy the moment.
Take time to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Merry Christmas, Christy!! Just wanted you to know that our families LOVED the pics we gave them for Christmas and i’m excited to finally get to decorate our home with the ones we ordered for ourselves (we’ve kept them hidden till now…). I hope you, Matthew and you’re beautiful kiddo’s enjoyed your Christmas day…hopefully the first one of many back in GA!
Christy yes we are all so very BLESSED. And when you see a picture like this how could anybody complain?
This little boy I am sure has never known what a BIG CHRISTMAS DINNER was, or even what a regular meal
was like for that matter. And yet he still has a big old smile on his face. And for a child to be able
to do this with the hardships I know he must face everyday of his life is amazing to me. If he can smile
like that what on earth do I have to complain about? NOTHING AT ALL. Thank you Lord for all my Blessing
and bless this child and many others who are hurting and suffering in the world. Merry Christmas to you
