What a joy to photograph this family AGAIN! It’s so fun watching Jack and Ava Quinn enjoy the outdoors. And what a treat to see Levi’s crazy and fun personality!
What a joy to photograph this family AGAIN! It’s so fun watching Jack and Ava Quinn enjoy the outdoors. And what a treat to see Levi’s crazy and fun personality!
I don’t know if there’s anything much more relaxing than watching a child build, drag, create, pretend and play outside!
She photographs well.
She photographs OTHERS really well.
But Rayna certainly doesn’t love being in front of the camera.
I had to beg her to let me snap a couple of photos of her on the side of the road.
She gave me about 5 minutes, then she was D-O-N-E.
So I get-what-I-get-and-don’t-pitch-a-fit!
I tried every trick in the book to get Ross EXCITED about his senior photos.
I found a neat downtown area with a fun restaurant where we could eat afterwards.
If he wanted a more modern look, I had that covered too!
What about on the pickle ball courts?
But all of my ideas seemed to be met with either
“Naah,”
“It’s not that deep,”
“We’ll see,”
or “No thanks.”
To my surprise though, in true-Ross-fashion, he threw me a curveball somewhere between parking in Tampa and boarding our Christmas cruise.
“So, I’m thinking we could just do my senior photos on the ship.”
Beggars can’t be choosy, so here ya’ go!
I am so incredibly proud of the young man Ross is becoming. His love for the Lord is what I am MOST grateful for! I pray the Lord will use him for His glory!
If ya’ know, ya’ know.
Our favorite tradition started almost 10 years when we traded in gifts for a TRIP. This year, we jumped back on a cruise (my personal FAVORITE). Any trip together is great, but I love cruising because:
* there’s NO phones or technology!
* we can eat whatever we want!
* there’s SO much to do!
The boat, Oasis of the Seas, was our FAVORITE so far!
I can’t believe our “MEMORIES > gifts” family tradition has been going for NINE years!
Every year has been great, but there’s just something we ALL love about a CRUISE (free food, no technology, warm weather, lots to do…)!
Here’s our other years:

If you’re up for memorizing A-Verse-A-Week, you’re in the right spot! Below is EVERYTHING you need to know.
First-thing-first… WHY?
God’s Word instructs us too. Here are just a FEW verses:

Why is Bible READING important? https://christymartinphotography.com/discovering-the-bible/
QUESTIONS:
Which Bible PLAN are you following?
The Bible Recap is a plan that goes through the entire Bible chronologically (follows in the historical order in which they happened) in 1-year. If you’d like to ALSO read scripture daily (which I’d HIGHLY recommend!), you may use the guide here: https://www.thebiblerecap.com/start
(You can also download the Bible App to help you keep track of where are you. If you’d like, the Bible Recap offers podcasts, books and other resources that quickly explain what you read that day.)
WHERE can I find the verses?
Lord willing, I hope to post each one weekly on Facebook and Instagram. (If you’re not on these, just text me each week.) Also, there’s a link above with all the verses.
Which VERSION of the Bible are you using?
There’s always difference in opinions around this topic. I chose ESV, but if you prefer KJV (or something else), change it up!
How did you choose the VERSES?
You may have weeks when you grumble, “How could she have possibly left out that verse?” If a verse is that special to you, memorize IT instead of what’s listed! (Remember, no rules!)
I tried to choose verses that I believed would be beneficial to help OURSELVES or OTHERS in our spiritual walk. (For example, the very first week was full of great creation verses from Genesis. However, I personally need a reminder that “…sin is crouching at the door…”.)
WHY ARE THERE MORE THAN ONE VERSE ON SOME WEEKS?
You’ll quickly notice there are some exceptions to “A” Verse. Many weeks have several verses that are used in context together. Other weeks have a choice of two or three verses to choose from. (Because I simply could NOT choose!) Lastly, there were several important ‘lists’ in the Bible that I thought was beneficial for memory.
May I invite others to join?
YES, of course! Feel free to forward any verses, attachments or (blog, Facebook, etc.) links.
HOW do I memorize?
I hope the Facebook page can offer encouragement, ideas and accountability. But based on your learning style, there’s lots of ‘tricks‘ to memorize information, regardless of your age.
Here’s just a FEW, but I’d love to hear more of your ideas too!
Ruthie wrote an essay on why SCRIPTURE MEMORY is important. This paper motivated ME to make it a priority!
Before I even took one photo, I asked Bella, “When do you HAVE to pull out of this parking lot?”
I’m glad I asked because I could have stayed at least another hour taking more and more photos of her!
We had such a sweet time to talk, explore and document Bella’s SENIOR YEAR!
