They met during her first year of preschool. Although Rayna was terribly shy, she was drawn to this silly and out-going little girl. At the end of the school year, Rayna’s teacher mentioned how much Lydia helped her come out of her shell. After a few schedule changes and “special requests” with the school, we were SO excited to see that these two were in the same class the following year!
So, when Rayna told me she wanted pictures with Lydia before they headed off to their different schools this year, the wheels in my head started spinning…
I envisioned a gorgeous flower field...

My excitement lasted about 3 days.
THEN, Rayna decided to let me in on HER plan:
She wanted to dress-up in pretend clothes.
She wanted to go to a castle.
Just an hour before picking-up Lydia, my worry over the shoot turned into excitement as I watched Rayna pack-up all of the things in her closet that I’ve seen these two girlies play with NUMEROUS times at my house over the past 2 years…
My responsible little Rayna was sure to NOT forget the dress-up clothes, the tea set her Nana bought her and plenty of jewelry.
I AM a professional and I take my client’s requests VERY seriously… especially when the client is my own daughter! So, I took the girls to Chateau Elan and I watched them as they laughed, dressed-up, danced and acted totally silly in front of a ‘real castle’...
Christy…..all of these pictures are beautiful. However, I am not surprised, because you always go to great lengths to fullfill. each clients requests. How very smart of you to come up with this idea. You can tell from the looks on their faces that they were super excited and felt “at home” there at the castle. Great pictures of two gorgeous little princesses enjoying life and making beautiful memories for a lifetime.
