Christy Martin Photography bio picture

When asked when I became a photographer, my mind drifts back to 'Show & Tell' in Kindergarden.  Out of all my toys and dolls, I brought my little point-and-shoot camera to class. (I still have the photo I took that day of my kindergarden class!)

Photography is my passion.  It inspires me.  It relaxes me.  It excites me.  It is also the reason I don't get nearly enough sleep at night.  Aside from client's sessions, you'll also find images of food or recent trips.  More than anything, you'll see a lot of my family.  Afterall, it's the new freckle on Ross' nose or Rayna's curls that make me so thankful I get to document life's wonderful memories.

Meet Shelby…

Before our shoot, Melissa (Shelby’s mom) asked if I could get a picture of Shelby sleeping.  Without consulting Shelby first, I confidentiality answered, “Sure!”  Turns out, Shelby really liked my camera.  As a matter of fact, regardless of the warm room, feeding and soft blankets, Shelby was perfectly happy just watching me.

I’m sure she’s pretty while she’s sleeping, but just look at how beautiful she is wide-awake…   bDSC_0352bw

November 27, 2009 - 11:07 am Melissa - Christy, I love them! You are such a talent considering having to work with such an active toddler and an infant! I cannot wait to see them all!

November 27, 2009 - 8:02 pm Kelly - Rhyan wouldnt sleep for her 1st pics either. I guess thats why you recommend 7-10 days old or something. One month olds are more alert... but PRECIOUS! The one of Taylor kissing Shelby is priceless and what a FABULOUS family shot! WOW!

November 27, 2009 - 9:56 pm Christy - Kelly- Yes, it's 'ideal' to photograph a newborn within the first week. I've already got a session booked for next week and Jackson is still in Missy's belly as we speak!
