I had great intentions of posting images of Jenn and her entire family, but a crazy thing happened during their session… I quickly filled-up over 4 memory cards!
I considered waiting a few days where I could post all the family’s photos at once, but Jenn already let me know my blog was being stalked. There will definitely be another blog post with this awesome family, but for now, I wanted to give Jenn a little something to hold her over the weekend…
I had an INCREDIBLE time photographing Christian & Callie! They are such adorable kids with BIG personalities! Stay tuned… I can’t wait to share a few more from their session in a few days!
Ahhh…you are going to make this prego mama cry…thanks so much for posting these…the last one of Callie and her eyes and the ones of C dancing…love them all thank you for capturing them exactly as they are…C is that little boy sitting on that block for sure trying to be sly and not smiling…Love love love these. I can’t wait to see the rest, thanks again for posting before the weekend :). I love them, love them, love them.

These pictures are just awesome. Jenn and Gregg are truly blessed.
I have great clients! Not only do they value the importance of documenting the stages of life, they also love sharing this gift with their own friends and family! Recently, a client purchased a gift certificate for her friends who got engaged. I met the couple on Saturday and had a really fun time getting to know them. Turns out, not only did we attend the same high school, we also go to the same church!
Here’s a few from our GORGEOUS day together over the weekend…
Gift cards make a thoughtful and unique gift! If you’re interested in purchasing a Christy Martin Photography gift card, email or call!
I love them all, Christy! My favorite is the last one…I could just kiss that sweet face of Ryan’s all day! Thank you so much for capturing our love for one another! You are so much fun and so EASY to work with!

AHH! This is my friend’s (Katie Green) brother! How fun that you did their pics for them 🙂
The last two are my favorites. They are just adorable. How seriously blessed are they by some great friend who would gift them with this?! YAY for them!
I have a hard time keeping enough milk stocked in our house each week.
Matthew’s closet is full of dress-shirts that are wrinkled from staying in the dryer… LOOOOOONG after they were dried.
Before our Small Group comes over each week, I usually forget to pick-up random toys & make sure the toilet seat is down.
And sometimes in the middle of the day, Rayna will ask me why I’m wearing pajamas. (I then try to explain they are just ‘comfortable clothes.’)
But, ONE week out of the year, my life is different.
Instead of cramming Rayna’s toothbrush & Ross’ stuffed animal in the front of my suitcase, I neatly and slowly pack my favorite outfits and a cute pair of high-heeled shoes.
Instead of boarding a plane wondering if Rayna is going to have a melt-down, I take my seat and consider going through my list of business goals, but quickly decide a nap on Matthew’s shoulder sounds MUCH better!
At a restaurant, instead of wondering if there’s anything Ross will eat for dinner, I focus on not eating too much calamari and crab cakes where I can still enjoy Key Lime Pie for dessert.
Oh, and did I mention sleeping-in?!?!
One week out of the year, Matthew’s company has their annual Sales Meeting. While Matthew and the other Sales Managers spend their time in meetings, the spouses are invited to relax during the day and enjoy a fancy-smancy dinner each night. It’s an INCREDIBLE combination!
This was my view from our room…
Call me crazy, but the majority of each day, I choose the view BELOW over the beach, pool and spa. From my first job early on, I have always LOVED working. Now, doing what I LOVE makes me enjoy work even MORE! (Yes- Matthew surprised me with Tiramisu one day. My FAVORITE!)
During our free day, Matthew and I found a GREAT spot by the pool!
He won a poker game on his phone.
I finished a book.
No complaints.
This was a GREAT week, but there was nothing greater than getting Ross & Rayna back in my arms!

With Spring around the corner, many of you are already getting excited about updating your family’s photos in the coming months!
After scheduling a session, the most COMMON QUESTION I receive from a family is, “What do we wear?”
Here are some great TIPS to help:
1. Don’t be afraid to wear COLOR! Not only does it photographs really well, it also shows a lot of personality!
2. Layers & accessories are great! Don’t forget any hats, scarves or other cute accessories.
3. Do NOT match. It’s okay to ‘coordinate‘ in terms of the color-scheme, but allow each person’s outfit to reflect his own style and personality.
4. Be YOURSELF! I’m all-about wearing cute & trendy outfits for your session, but it’s more important to document your family in a way that truly reflects who you are.
Here is a FAMILY example I created to give you some fun & creative ideas for SPRING:
Hi there. I just came across your blog and website and I must say you are amazing! I am in love with your photography. I am a “wanna be” photographer, right now mainly just taking picture of my kids. I have always had a passion for it but once my kids were born it really came out! I love how beautiful and colorful all your pictures are. It looks so natural. I just wanted to tell you that this is one person you have truly inspired to take more pictures! :o)
