What a happy little guy! I can’t believe Brady is already 6 months old. I stole a few kisses from him during our shoot. Isn’t he so cute?!?!

I met Dave two years ago at a wedding I was photographing. He was the pastor and I was so impressed with his meaningful and symbolic words throughout the ceremony. Since that wedding, I have received several calls from Dave, just wanting to make sure I haven’t decided to go back to photographing weddings. He’ll tell me about this great couple he just met and how much he wanted to tell them to call me. Such a nice guy! Just last year, I was able to meet and photograph his family. Just like Dave, they all were wonderful!
When Dave called me last week, he told me how long it had been since he had photographs taken of himself. With some new events coming up in his ministry, it was definitely TIME for some updated head shots! Like most men, or anyone for that matter, Dave wasn’t doing cartwheels about the thought of being in front of the camera without his wife or kids standing beside him. However, I can’t stress enough how IMPORTANT it is for EVERYONE to have a photograph of them self that they feel good about!

It was great seeing you again, Dave!
I have a lot of blog readers tell me they love seeing examples of how to display photographs in their home. A while ago, I blogged about the Wall Gallery I have in my own home. Using photos I’ve taken over the years, my mother-in-law recreated the same Wall Gallery for her media room. Since I love decorating with photos so much, I thought I’d share her wall with you!

On a side note, since she doesn’t like holes in her walls, she actually used the picture hanging strips. GREAT IDEA!
I looked out my window early Monday morning to find TONS of snow all around us! Just a few minutes later, I laughed when I heard Ross get out of bed, look out the window and yell, “ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!? NO WAY!!!”

1 flight canceled- keeping Matthew home with us all week to enjoy the snow!
3 days of school canceled…and counting!
Many cups of hot chocolate.
1 trip to RedBox.
2 batches of chocolate chip cookies.
Lots of layers of clothes.
Hours of watching Matthew play the wii with the kids.
Plenty of crafts and drawings.
1 AWESOME hill to race down!

We took the kids to Stone Mountain to enjoy the snow. I wondered how it would be since the snow isn’t real, but it was actually great to snow-tube and build snowmen in 50 degree weather! But most importantly, the kids LOVED it!
first picture: I handled the snow-woman body. Rayna handled ALL of the accessories!
second picture: The Stone Mountain employees had a hard time finding a place to attach Rayna’s ticket. They suggested her jeans. Doesn’t everyone know jeggings don’t have zippers?!?
I bet I tell her a hundred times a day, but these pictures just remind me of how sweet and perfect Rayna is to me!
Ross and I raced and he won… barely.
After three hours of non-stop playing (and me carrying Rayna all around the park because she “don’t-can’t” walk when I’m around), we headed to Varsity for lunch. Matthew is a sweetheart for going there since he doesn’t understand my LIFE-LONG LOVE for this place. Regardless of what they all say about the food, you can clearly witness what happened when I set my apple pie a la mode down in front of my gang…
Each year, we make a few trips to visit Matthew’s parents in NW Arkansas. Last Christmas, WE GOT SNOW! This year, there wasn’t snow, but it was COLD! I walked into our room the first morning and found Rayna laying on the big, warm bed just watching the horses in the cold pasture below.

Rayna and I took a walk through the pasture the next day. As always, we had lots of horses gather all around us. Ironically enough, it was ‘COWGIRL‘ who LOVED Rayna’s COWGIRL hat. She kept nudging it until she finally knocked it off Rayna’s head. Rayna’s facial expression tells the story much better than me…
Rayna was ready to jump on the Ranger with her cousins. She loved riding with the boys as they tossed-out hay to the horses.
If Ross is missing, there’s a good chance he’s looking for his Granddaddy’s cowboy hats in the grand-boy’s bedroom. Yep! That’s exactly where I found him! (Happens every year! ) This time, it was a perfect match for his new Woody pajamas!
