Kate

When I first began to photograph Kate thirteen years ago, her mom was intentional about bringing special items to our session. How FUN to look back and remember those seasons! Lots of great seasons- stuffed bunny, baseball, flowers and a SWEET dog named Bentley! Now we get to celebrate her SENIOR YEAR!

What a fun journey! Thank you for trusting me to be there for the highlights!

I ALMOST STARTED CRYING IN THE GROCERY STORE TODAY WHEN I HEARD A BILLY JOEL SONG BECAUSE IT REMINDED ME OF SPECIAL TIMES WITH ROSS!

‘I am a very sentimental gal.’

I realize it’s not just with my OWN kids, but also with the children I’ve had the privilege of photographing over the years. I could have already posted this a few hours ago, but instead, I pulled out my hard-drives to look at their sweet family photos from the past twelve years.

From Baby Jack

to the day they told me they were PREGNANT

to that gorgeous fall day in Atlanta with Baby Kate

to the kids just laughing together

to JUST when I thought they couldn’t get any cuter, so they added Leia

to going to their neck-of-the-woods

and to the point where Kate is almost too big to sit on Matt’s shoulders!

What WONDERFUL memories that I feel SO blessed to have been able to capture!

Adam, Sarah and Ava

I have a confession.
Although I am working on being more outgoing by meeting new people at church, every time I see lil’ Ava sitting in service with her parents or grandparents, before I even realize it, I quickly bypass the visitors and head straight towards her adorable face!

So when Sarah reached out to say her family was due for updated photos, I was SO excited! I brought along RUTHIE ‘my new assistant.’ It was such a special night that I will always treasure!

Underwater Fun

I tried to take underwater photos in our neighborhood pool. But, my photos were cluttered with random hair strands, murky water and unidentified toes from random kids.

So as I sat by my friend’s gorgeous, backyard pool, I only dreamed of taking photographs in her oasis- surrounded by colorful flowers and big, stringing lights.

I asked.
She said yes!
I tried to get Ross to wake-up, but he wanted to sleep in.
I took an insane amount of photos and HAD TO DELETE 99% OF THEM ALL ‘got a few’ that made me smile!

Matthew, Catalina, Jack & Kate

I believe this will be my FIFTH or SIXTH year of photographing Matt, Catalina, Jack & Kate! (How BLESSED am I!?!?!?)
I first met Baby Jack
Then, Big-Boy Jack
Next, Jack + baby sis, Kate!
After that, two BIG kids!

And just when I thought they all couldn’t get ANY cuter, an adorable puppy named Leia was added to the family!

Thank you, Matt & Catalina! I always look forward to seeing you each year!

What a beautiful day for family photos!

Copelyn, Brooks and Holland simply ran, played and laughed… which is EXACTLY what I always want kids to do during a session!

Thank you, Lauren & Scott, for trusting me to capture your family!

Photography sessions should be as much as a priority as eating well, new tires and family trips to the zoo. However, it’s true that sometimes scheduling a session can get overlooked with the rush of life.

So, I LOVE when people are given the GIFT of a PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION!

A friend and NWA real estate agent had the great idea to give her clients a closing gift that could be treasured for a lifetime! Here’s a few from our time together…
